Born at 0 months and 0 days, johnvano was born in metropolitan Minnesota at the close of the 1960s.
His young parents raised him as a polite and happy Minnesota Vikings fan, and taught him to love Jesus. johnvano and his mother lived with his grandparents while his father served his country in Viet Nam.
Dad worked as a foreman in an ammunition company while going to college, and young johnvano eventually found a hometown in Anoka. Enjoying the unbridled freedom of a bike in 1970s America, johnvano loved his downtown and the parks system.
Later, the family moved to Roseville, where johnvano discovered a bent for art and the bus lines of St. Paul and Minneapolis, it was then that his affinity for the Minnesota Twins, baseball, and NCAA basketball was formed.
The entire family: dad, mom, 2 sisters, and johnvano eventually settled outside of Syracuse, NY where johnvano's father served his second pastorate. This is where johnvano became an fan of the Orange. johnvano left for 4 years of college in Boston, and then returned to begin his stellar radio and writing career.
After a five-year stop in Ft. Lauderdale, FL where he hosted both national and local talk programs, johnvano settled in Atlanta, GA--now with a wife and family of his own. Five kids later, johnvano continues to work in media and is now writing his first novel.
johnvano was raised to love Minnesota--and he did. But now that he's left, he has a heart for the North, but his body is firmly planted in the South. He loves the warm weather and the mystique of this culture.
