What is it with me and Waffle House all of a sudden? Before June, I had made just two trips to the place in my entire life, and now suddenly I'm Mr. Waffle House? I've been to the place five times in the last two months.
Before Georgia's ban on smoking, the Waffle House was a den of nicotine, and not high on my list of eateries. In fact, the wife banned all family visits to the Big W. Sure, I like the clean-air policy, and it's a factor in my increased visits, but I know there's something more to my new infatuation than that. Perhaps it's feeling a part of the action, getting breakfast any time of the day, or being able to order the perfect breakfast without needing to go ala carte--waffles, eggs, toast, hash browns, and bacon. Yes, there it is again: bacon.

I love Waffle House and, not having one within 1,000 miles of me, I make a point to eat there whenever I'm in the south.

I even took my special lady to the Waffle House this Saturday night for our date to see Talladega Nights. It fit the mood of the movie, but I wasn't being cheap... where else can you eat in 20 minutes and still make show time?
