Two thoughts I had today while at lunch:
1. Why do journalists feel compelled to write, "I remember watching the late blah-blah-blah reach up and grab..." when talking about someone who is dead? Why is that relevant? If the guy said it or did it, why is it necessary to state whether or not he is still with us? From the context of your article we know that it is an event from the past... if the guy is a crazed lunatic now you're not compelled to say: "I remember watching the formerly sane blah-blah-blah reach up and grab..."
2. If it wasn't for limes--I'd probably get scurvy. I love fruit--it's my favorite thing on God's earth, but I'm so lazy about food preparation that I don't eat fruit like I should because it's generally not been peeled, sliced, and diced for me as I like it. But I'm always dropping those little wedges of lime in my coke... so I guess I'm getting my Vitamin C, eh?
