I'm a big fan of Director Barry Levinson. Come on, can you imagine having a run of success like this?
1982: Diner
1984: The Natural
1987: Good Morning, Vietnam
1988 Rain Man
1990: Avalon
1991: Bugsy
Less well known from this bunch are Avalon and Bugsy, but they're arguably the best of this group (with the exception of The Natural)--you must see them.
Of course since then Levison has had to answer for such films as: Jimmy Hollywood (with Joe Pesci), Bandits, Envy, and Man of the Year. But he has a great chance to redeem himself next year with the release of A Walk in the Woods starring Robert Redford as travel memoirist Bill Bryson. Words cannot express how anxious I am to see this on the big screen.

They are making a film about "Walk in the Woods"? That is awesome! Based on my close personal friendship with Bill Bryson perhaps they will give me a small role.

SO, what's wrong with Man of the Year?

Darnell, Perhaps a walk-on role? Get one for me, too. I could play one of the furtive teenagers who come running out of the woods... oh, that was my AT hiking story!
Wendy, while "Man" was better than many critics advised, it is far inferior to Levinson's string of genius. Nice work for Laura Linney in "Man." I used to despise her on the screen, but she turned it around and is one of my favorites now. Also great in "Nanny Diaries" and seemingly everything she touches. "Congo" put her on my bad list for a long, long time.
