Who's in My "Five?"

These are the five friends and trends I'm thinking about today...

Chipper Jones, Braves third baseman -- The guy is stout! Still hitting north of .400 two months into the season. Great to see a steroid-free success story for a guy piling up the numbers. And I have the privilege of watching him every night.

Ed McMahon, icon of TV -- Here's an example of what's gone wrong with America--this 85-year-old still has a mortgage! He's $644,000 behind on the payments. How ludicrous. Sell your memorabilia, sell your furniture, sell the house... enjoy your golden years without worrying about a mortgage... what are you thinking?

Adam Sandler, hit-and-miss movie star -- I admit, he doesn't always score, but more often that not, he amuses me. Based on the previews, his Don't Mess with the Zohan film looks hilarious.

Jasmine, new mother of five -- Someone went and had kittens yesterday. But it's a sad state when you're barely a year old yourself and no one knows who the father is.

McDonald's franchise, Atlanta branches -- Great idea, M.D., one dollar beverages--any size? I've been taking advantage of that... but I discovered the offer is no good in Florida. Shame on you BK, $1.75 for a large?
