Every time I saw that FB status, I almost threw up in my mouth (TUIM) a little. It's just not that simple, people. I mean, who *doesn't* want everyone to have medical coverage? sigh ...

Karen: I love that you dropped the "TUIM" reference.

Insurance - it stresses ME! We are not in the corporate world with nice cushy benefits. We pay for our health care coverage out of pocket. We have the CRAPPIEST coverage and in 2 and 1/2 years the company has doubled our monthly premiums. Reasons why they do this? It certainly is not b/c we are sick all the time. I might take my kids to the doctor ONCE a year. I haven't stepped into a doctor's office for personal medical care or prevention in over 3 years. The answers they give me as I cry on the phone b/c we can't afford to pay them every month are just bullsh_t. Every six months GA or their company comes up with a STUPID reason to raise our rates. SO I apply for new insurance. They deny Eric for due to a mild case of OCD. Pisses me off. It's like they are forcing us into corporate America to have just to be able to have health care benefits. And even with the coverage we have we get stuck paying for almost EVERYTHING at EVERY doctor's visit. It's insane.

I keep thinking if I rant I will feel better about this. I am sad to say I just angrier.
