Many people tease me because I have so many baseball rooting interests. Perhaps those of you who have lived in many different regions of the country can relate. Here's why I'm a fan of every team.

The Twins - I grew up in Minnesota, and will always be Minnesotan. The Twins taught me baseball, they gave me my first heroes of the diamond--a little plug named Kirby, a homer like Hrbek, and the sweet music of Viola. And they let me taste what the Vikings could not--world championships. *****
The Red Sox - During my college days Fenway was like Narnia, a fantastical world where a certain pitcher could put up 20Ks and 20 wins, a third baseman could foul off 17 pitches before doubling off the wall, and left field held a legacy. ****
The Marlins - When I moved to South Florida in 1995, the Marlins were a cute idea. But it was a genuine MLB ballpark, so I could end my Upstate New York drought and go to a game whenever I wanted. A funny thing happened while I enjoyed seeing the visiting superstars, I got a flashback to the Minny Twins with Renteria, Conine, Castillo, and Livan--then they ended up winning two world championships, me screaming all the way to the finish. It was tough to cheer as the team was sold off each year for parts, but I held firm until the Braves stole my heart. **
The Braves - I hated the collection dubbed "America's Tea m." The fans bellyached about making the playoffs every year, the players seemed too cool, the team always winning. Then after years of living in Atlanta,
